This week we have been learning about number and place value. This included writing numbers in words, ordering them, putting them in sequences and rounding them; using numbers up to ten million. On top of that, we used those skills incorporated in word problems. We also learnt about the powers of ten and how to use them in mathematics.
To start with, we did an Entry Quiz hoping to improve our understanding of this subject before the Exit Quiz; to see how we improved. This week, many of our class mates learnt how to use numbers in more skilful ways. As well as all of these things, we learnt about partitioning larger numbers.
After each lesson, Mr N asks us to evaluate our work (which is called ‘Show Me Five’) to show how much we understand our work. This gives both the teachers and the students an insight into how the person’s learning is going.
Overall, he has been helping us with this subject and we have learnt many things and he has done a fantastic job in teaching us.
Thank you Mr N!
