We did the Entry Quiz on Monday and we did ok but as always it does not matter because as Mr N told us it is our first try. We have been mostly looking at angles and using protractors – Mr N ‘s worst nightmare! – but luckily, we understood them quite well!
On Tuesday we were finding out the meaning of acute – smaller than 90 degrees – obtuse – larger than 90 degrees but smaller than 180 degrees – right angle – which is 90 degrees and reflex – larger than 180 degrees. We were given angles to identify, using these measurements in our book.
Wednesday, we used protractors to measure some angles and rather enjoyed using them. Some of us struggled with this but we were able to carry on with using them on Thursday with measuring angles on a straight line (basically with more than one angle to measure) and we soon all got the hang of it.
On Friday, we did a mental maths quiz and most of us improved our score. We have really enjoyed our week and can’t wait to carry on!
