Our latest topic is measurement. First we learnt about converting measures.
The next day we were learning about perimeter and some of us found it easy and some found it hard but all in all, it was ok. We were using rectilinear shapes to solve the problems or questions. As you may guess what are rectilinear shapes? Well, they are rectangles forming the shape of an “L” (or at least some of them).
The length is 15cm the width is 20cm what will the perimeter be?
Well, it would be 70cm because 15 x 2 = 30 and 20 x 2 = 40 and 30 + 40 = 70.
Next we learnt about area which means the size a surface takes up. Measured in square units.
14m x 3m = 42m2
Thank you Mr N for teaching us measurements!
